About Texas Gyro
Company History:
Formed in 2002, Texas Gyro achieved its FAA Part 145 certificate in nine months and began with a business model focused on Class III instrument-gyroscope, limited instrument-autopilot, and limited radio for weather radar systems. Our radar work became respected nationwide quickly, and we established a large customer base with the feeder cargo airlines, including Martinaire, Key Lime, IBC Airways, and Ameriflight. In 2005, we were awarded limited airframe and began to do repair and basic modifications on a variety of aircraft.

While the radar repairs kept a strong pace, in 2010 it became apparent that the emergence of more robust glass cockpit systems required an evaluation of the on-wing strategy of our business. Starting FY 2011, we began a model with a sharper focus on aircraft modifications.

In the past 13 years, we have performed hundreds of major avionics upgrades focusing on the Beechcraft King Air series and Cessna Citation jets. In April of 2023, Texas Gyro was the first Garmin dealer in the world to complete and sign off the Garmin GFC-600 autopilot in a Beech B200, which included a full glass cockpit modification with dual G600 IFDs, dual GTN navigators, and all remote peripherals.

The transition from a bench repair focused business to one of aircraft upgrade modifications provides a management team that has extensive experience at LRU-level functionality, yielding a unique skill set when tackling the complexities of modernizing aircraft.
